Biography
Isabel Orellana is an accomplished educator, mentor, and academic leader with three decades of experience teaching, tutoring, and supporting students across primary, secondary, post-secondary, and adult education settings. Her career reflects a deep commitment to helping individuals from diverse backgrounds achieve their full potential while developing the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Isabel holds an Advanced Certificate in Special Education from The College of Saint Rose, a Master of Science in Teaching, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Pace University. She is certified in New York State as a Social Studies teacher and Special Education teacher for grades 7–12. Driven by a belief in education's power to transform lives, Isabel has dedicated her career to creating meaningful learning opportunities and fostering inclusive environments where students of all ages and abilities can flourish.
In addition to her classroom experience, Isabel has extensive expertise as a tutor, working with students individually and in small groups to support growth and skill development. She has taught and mentored a broad spectrum of students, from those requiring additional support to those identified as gifted and talented. Her tutoring experience includes guiding high-achieving students and families seeking advanced enrichment, including preparation for admission to some of the nation's most selective colleges and universities. Throughout her career, she has helped students strengthen foundational skills, enhance performance, and build the confidence necessary to obtain their goals.
